I am combining this post from the past two weeks, because I was unaware the we needed to journal from last week (the first week). The first week of class I found extremely interesting, especially the did you know 2.0 video, and I am really looking forward to learning about how to incorporate all these new technologies in my classroom. We also read an article about the 21st century classroom, and how new technology is shaping our classrooms. I found the items in this article very true. Especially the part about understanding global communities and cultures. As we move forward technology has allowed to connect to one another instantly, and understanding and being sensitive of different cultures is crucial in connecting with people across the globe.
This week in ED2255 we learned how to use the iGoogle application, and I found it fascinating. It is such a useful tool in promoting class discussion and a very effective way to formattively assess students. We also learned about fair trade rules and ways to stop us from infringing on copyright laws.
